A house on Chios designed around the view to the Aegean: glass surfaces, stone masonry and restrained contemporary forms.
The house was designed around its unique setting, making the most of the view to the Aegean. Large glass surfaces, restrained forms and a contemporary aesthetic create an open, light-filled environment in which the architecture is in constant dialogue with the natural landscape.
Natural materials, stone masonry and stone retaining walls, combined with contemporary construction lines, give the house a character of its own. Elements of the local architecture are woven discreetly into the composition, balancing a modern aesthetic with the authentic landscape of Chios.
